Brazers in Grenada,MS (1st Shift and 2nd shift) Job Description This 1st shift Brazer role focuses on assembling and brazing flare tube extensions, return bends, headers, manifolds, and various copper hookup components into coils. You will prepare coils for brazing, set up your own work, and join components using an oxygen-acetylene torch and brazing rod. The position requires consistent use of blueprints, hand and power tools, and simple arithmetic to ensure accurate, high-quality assemblies. Responsibilities Assemble flare tube extensions, return bends, headers, manifolds, and copper hookup components into coils according to coil prints and blueprints. Prepare header and manifold components for brazing both on and off the production line. Set up workstations and fixtures to support efficient and accurate brazing operations. Braze components using an oxygen-acetylene torch with BCUP 5 brazing rod and Stay-Silv Brazing Flux. Braze sub-assemblies using various brazing rods as required by specifications. Braze 180- and 360-degree joints using a braze torch to create leak-free, structurally sound connections. Braze brass fittings to copper components while maintaining proper alignment and joint quality. Braze return bends, headers, and sub-assemblies to coils using coil prints and engineering drawings. Monitor inventory levels of headers and manifold sub-assemblies and communicate needs to maintain continuous production. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices such as tape measures to assemble and verify components. Read and interpret blueprints and follow written or verbal instructions to meet production requirements. Perform simple arithmetic to measure, cut, and verify dimensions for accurate assembly and brazing. Follow safety procedures for working with torches, fluxes, and plant equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area and support general mechanical assembly tasks as needed. Essential Skills Proven brazing experience using BCUP 5 brazing rod and Stay-Silv Brazing Flux. Hands-on mechanical skills, including the safe and effective use of hand tools and power tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and coil prints. Ability to perform simple arithmetic to verify measurements and dimensions. Experience using an oxygen-acetylene torch for brazing operations. Capability to assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies accurately. Skill in using measuring tools such as tape measures for precise layout and verification. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience brazing 180- and 360-degree joints with a braze torch. Ability to braze brass fittings to copper components while maintaining quality and integrity. Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools for mechanical assembly. Familiarity with mechanical assembly processes in a plant or production environment.
