Electro-Mechanical Ergonomic Lifting Machines Location:

Full-time About the Role Electromechanical Technician II is a hands-on role focused on assembling, wiring, and testing electro-mechanical ergonomic lifting machines and related equipment. This position works with moderate supervision, handling standard builds independently and supporting higher-level technicians on more complex projects. Key Responsibilities Mechanical Assembly - Primary Assemble electro-mechanical ergonomic lifting machines (frames, structures, platforms, arms, supports, guarding, etc.) from mechanical drawings and bills of material. Install and align mechanical components including pre-assembled modules, motors, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, couplings, dc actuators. Perform basic fabrication work as needed (drilling, tapping, cutting, deburring, basic layout and fit-up). Read and interpret Bill of Material/Assembly drawings. Verify proper mechanical operation, clearances, and alignment before testing. Assist with mechanical troubleshooting and rework when issues are found during test or inspection. Electrical Assembly (24 VDC & Standard Motor Circuits) Build small 24 VDC control boxes using relays, terminal blocks, fuses, and standard motor driver cards according to schematics and layout drawings. Route, terminate, and label low-voltage control wiring and basic power wiring to motors, sensors, and field devices on ergonomic lifting machines. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts at an intermediate level. Perform continuity checks and basic functional tests using a multimeter and other basic test equipment. Identify and correct common wiring issues (miswires, loose connections, incorrect terminations). General Responsibilities Follow work instructions, engineering drawings, and safety standards to meet quality and schedule requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with all safety policies, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements. Document work performed, test results, and any issues or deviations, as required by company procedures. Collaborate with other technicians, engineering, and supervisors to resolve technical and quality issues. Provide basic support and guidance to Level I technicians on standard assembly tasks when requested. Qualifications Required 3-7 years of experience as an electromechanical, mechanical/electrical, or industrial maintenance technician (or equivalent). Proven ability to read and work from mechanical drawings and basic electrical schematics. Practical experience assembling machinery or equipment, ideally in a manufacturing or OEM environment. Hands-on experience building or wiring small control boxes and simple motor circuits (24 VDC control preferred). Proficient use of common hand and power tools (wrenches, drills, grinders, taps, torque tools, etc.). Ability to use a multimeter for basic troubleshooting (voltage, continuity, simple fault finding). Ability to lift up to 55 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a shop environment. High school diploma or GED. Prefered Experience with electro-mechanical ergonomic lifting machines or other ergonomic/assist-lift equipment. Technical school certificate or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field. Familiarity with , sensors, limit switches, and safety devices. Basic understanding of industrial safety practices and electrical safety. Competencies & Soft Skills Solid troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail. Able to work independently on assigned tasks and know when to ask for help. Good communication with supervisors, engineers, customers, and peers. Dependable, punctual, and committed to producing quality work. Positive, safety-first attitude and willingness to learn new skills. Compensation & Schedule Hourly position; pay range typically aligned with Level II experience Standard schedule: [e.g., Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-4 p.m.] with overtime as needed. Eligible for discretionary year end bonus.
