Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Demonstrated competency in basic hand and power tool usage Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions Physical fitness and strength to lift and operate heavy electrical machinery Excellent hand-eye coordination Good communication skills Essential Functions Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms. Discern quality of parts and materials used in production. Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process. Test finished products for defects. Maintain the tools used to create products Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment Follow all company rules and policies, safety rules and quality standards Other duties as requested, directed, or assigned Physical Demands See details of objects that are less than a few feet away. Move two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in place. Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm. Use one or two hands to grasp and move objects. Use fingers to grasp and move objects. Bend, stretch, twist, or reach out. Make repetitive movements with fingers, hands, and wrists. Use muscles for extended periods without getting tired. Work Environment Environment is a sheet metal fabrication shop. Worker will be subject to high noise levels and exposed to heavy machinery. Worker may be exposed to dust, fumes, and airborne particles. Sheet metal can cause cuts and lacerations. Metal is highly conductive of thermal energy. Burns are possible when metal is exposed to open flames or a heat source. Inhaling sheet metal dust can increase the chances of respiratory illness. Exposure to oil and grease is possible. Machinery such as turrets, lasers, press brakes, shears, saws, and mills can cause bodily harm in the event of improper operation or malfunction.
