We are seeking a strong, hands-on Production Supervisor to lead our Electro-Mechanical Assembly department. This role is ideal for a technically skilled manufacturing leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the quality, safety, and productivity standards required in electrification and industrial power systems. Position Summary The Production Supervisor will oversee daily operations within the Electro-Mechanical Assembly department, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met. This individual will lead a team of assemblers and technicians while driving accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This is a working leadership role requiring strong technical capability and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the Electro-Mechanical Assembly team Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and safety standards Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics Monitor workflow, productivity, and labor utilization Train, coach, and develop assembly technicians Enforce company policies and safety procedures Troubleshoot technical and production issues in real time Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams to resolve production challenges Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department Maintain accurate production and performance records Qualifications Prior experience running or supervising a production department (required) Experience in the electrification industry strongly preferred Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics (required) Experience in electro-mechanical assembly, power distribution units, industrial controls, or switchgear preferred Proven leadership ability in a manufacturing environment Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills High attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment What We Offer Competitive compensation Comprehensive benefits package 401(k) with company match Paid time off Stable and growing manufacturing environment Opportunity to lead a critical production department within a respected organization SMT, Inc. is committed to maintaining a safe, productive, and team-oriented workplace.
