Assembly Mechanic Cobey - 2.8 Buffalo, NY Job Details Full-time $25 - $33 an hour 19 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off 401(k) 4% Match Employee assistance program Vision insurance 401(k) matching Employee discount Life insurance Referral program Qualifications Bolting fabrication technique Forklift High school diploma or GED Bolts for fastening Driving Manual assembly Torque wrenches Power tools Fastening Hand tools Full Job Description Cobey is looking to add an experienced, critical thinking Pipe Assembler who can work from drawings to determine and troubleshoot proper assembly of world class Lube Oil Consoles, Gas Conditioning Skids, and related products that drive the global energy industry To be considered for this role, here's what you will need to bring with you: At least 1 year of experience assembling pipe with bolted flange connections via arrangement drawings and corresponding parts lists High School diploma or GED preferred Job Summary The Assembler is responsible for the mechanical assembly of piping systems and skidded equipment, including bolting, alignment, leveling, and fabrication tasks. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work safely and independently, and proficiency with hand tools and shop equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform bolting and assembly of piping systems for skidded equipment Work with bolting flanged and gasketed connections, adhering to torque requirements. Interpret and work from arrangement drawings and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) Proficient in the safe use of hand tools, including drills, grinders, and related equipment Skilled in drilling and tapping holes up to ½ inch in diameter Experience driving a tow motor (forklift) Able to safely operate overhead and jib cranes Capable of working independently while following instructions and established procedures Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA standards and all Cobey safety policies Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must know how to work with bolting flanged and gasketed connections, including adhering to torque requirements. Welding skills preferred Basic pipe fitting preferred Tube bending experience preferred Able to lift 50 lbs. Need to provide personal tools
Credentials and Experience:
Requires a high school diploma/GED Minimum one year Pipe Assembly experience or related field required
