Responsbilities:
Machinist required to repair, maintain, install and make improvements to chemical processing equipment and machinery (includes pumps, agitators, fans, centrifuges, etc.). Ability to fabricate to exact tolerances using lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other shop equipment Execute preventive maintenance program Calibrate, align and make adjustments to production equipment Work hours are Mon. - Fri., 8 hour days (40 hours/week) with occasional overtime Available for call in on off hours as needed to make equipment repairs Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance software tools.
Qualifications include:
HS diploma Field machinist or millwright training and demonstrated experience Mechanical equipment repair training and/or demonstrated experience: pumps, mechanical seals, agitators, gear boxes, fans (bearings, sheaves), alignment Able to work in confined spaces Able to work from heights from a ladder or man lift Demonstrate effective analytical troubleshooting skills Able to read and interpret mechanical/machine drawings Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision Excellent safety record - places safety and environment as top priority in all work Knowledge of Lock Out / Tag Out Good communication skills - daily communications with maintenance planner, technical staff and operations as needed. Good team player -flexible, willing to work in other areas and with other trades as needed.
Minimum Education Level and experience:
2 year schooling and/or 5 plus years of demonstrated experience
Pay:
$32.00 - $45.00 per hour
