Job Description

We are currently accepting applications for a Lead Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our Assembly Department. In this role no two days are the same. Our Assembly Technicians play an integral role in the assembly of our state-of-the-art robotic welding and material handling systems. As a Lead you are setting the pace and carrying out the direction of the Assembly Manager by leading the team in daily achievements. This is a hands-on support role. You will be operating a variety of hand and power tools to assemble tooling fixtures, cell interior exterior accessories, and assist in the overall building of automation projects. The successful candidate will have experience leading teams and mentoring, basic hand and power tools such as drills, taps and grinders, demonstrate an attention to safety, be highly detail oriented with an eye for quality, and must possess a positive and inquisitive attitude.
Responsibilities:
Drive daily expectations as directed by the Assembly Manager Lead and mentor assembly team members Maintain daily task list and keep project tracking boards up to date Lead daily goals meeting with the team Use of hand and power tools Drilling, Tapping, and Grinding Tool & Fixture assembly Basic plumbing and wiring Interpretation of mechanical prints and 3D CAD Models Use of basic inspection equipment: Calipers, Scales and Tape Measures Strict adherence to company safety policies
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED is required Excellent attention to detail, with an eye for quality Must possess strong mechanical skills Must possess strong troubleshooting skills Must be able to use measuring devices including scales, calipers, micrometers, and tape measures Use of the metric system Ability to work in a fast-moving team environment
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$27.50 - $30.30 per hour
