• Job Description
• plays a key role in the disassembly and refurbishment of industrial vacuum pumps and air compressors, preparing components for reassembly in a clean, temperature-controlled facility.

Working Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., this role involves hands-on mechanical work, use of hand and air tools, and operation of shop equipment to support the full repair and refurbishment process. Over time, and once fully trained, you will diagnose and repair complex pump systems, develop repair estimates, and produce technical reports for customers.

• Responsibilities
• + Work in the disassembly department to sandblast, grind, and finish various pump and compressor parts as part of the refurbishment process.

+ Operate a water bath to clean bolts, nuts, and other components, preparing them for subsequent assembly steps. + Perform physically demanding tasks in a dirty environment while refurbishing pumps and related equipment. + Assist in rotating and buffing parts in designated departments, performing repetitive tasks with attention to detail and consistency. + Use hand tools, air tools, and power tools to disassemble units and remove components for inspection and cleaning. + Follow detailed work orders to refurbish parts for industrial vacuum systems and air compressors. + Operate an overhead crane safely to move heavy units and components within the shop. + Disassemble units to be repaired, ensuring all parts are properly labeled, organized, and tracked. + Clean and inspect all parts from disassembled pumps to determine wear, damage, and suitability for reuse. + Evaluate the condition of original parts and refurbish those that can be reused in accordance with quality standards. + Type reports to be sent to customers outlining findings and recommended repairs once the condition of equipment is determined. + Develop repair estimates based on inspection results, required parts, and labor needs. + Write clear technical reports describing the nature of equipment malfunctions and the measures taken to repair and restore functionality. + Perform routine maintenance on shop equipment such as part washers and bead blasters to ensure reliable operation. + Troubleshoot equipment issues and refurbish parts to meet engineering specifications and performance requirements. + Once trained, diagnose and repair vane pumps, mechanical pumps, blowers, TMPs, and dry pumps. + Rebuild units according to engineering specifications, ISAs, and ISO procedures, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. + Support continuous learning by understanding the full process and product range through disassembling and refurbishing pumps, with potential opportunities to move into the assembly department. + Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, maintaining safety as the top priority throughout daily tasks.

• Essential Skills
• + Mechanical inclination with experience using hand tools, air tools, and power tools.

+ Ability to perform mechanical assembly and disassembly work in an industrial environment. + Capability to lift 40+ pounds on a regular basis. + Ability to read and write clearly and follow written work orders and instructions. + Basic computer skills to type reports and use shop-related systems. + Comfort working with mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, and vacuum systems. + Troubleshooting skills to identify equipment malfunctions and determine appropriate repair actions. + High school diploma or GED. + Willingness to work voluntary Saturdays and additional hours as needed. + Reliability and attention to detail when cleaning, inspecting, and refurbishing parts.

• + Experience with sandblasting, painting, or water jet equipment.

+ Experience in general labor, construction, or mechanical assembly environments. + Familiarity with overhead crane operation in a shop or manufacturing setting. + Ability to rebuild units according to engineering specifications, ISAs, and ISO procedures. + Experience performing maintenance on shop equipment such as part washers and bead blasters. + Comfort working in a physical and occasionally dirty environment while maintaining high safety standards. + Interest in learning the complete pump refurbishment process with potential growth into assembly and other departments.

• Work Environment
• The role is based in a 40,000-square-foot, temperature-controlled building with air conditioning, located in Glenwillow near Solon.

Approximately 45 employees work at this site, contributing to a close-knit, collaborative atmosphere. The work environment combines clean, controlled conditions with physical, hands-on tasks that can be dirty due to pump refurbishment activities. Employees use a variety of mechanical and shop equipment, including sandblasters, grinders, water baths, part washers, bead blasters, overhead cranes, and standard hand and air tools. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks, and voluntary Saturday work available. Uniforms are provided to both full-time and contract employees and are washed weekly, ensuring consistent and appropriate attire for the shop environment. • Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $22.

00 - $22.00/hr.
