5:00 AM - 5:00 PM We are hiring a dependable, mechanically minded Forklift & Yard Truck Mechanic Assistant for a stable manufacturing operation in the Tulsa area. This is a hands-on position working alongside experienced mechanics to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts, yard trucks, trailers, and other industrial equipment . This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical experience who wants to develop their skills in industrial equipment maintenance. Responsibilities Assist mechanics with routine maintenance and repairs on forklifts and yard trucks. Perform basic equipment inspections and identify potential issues. Assist with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems. Perform oil, filter, fluid, battery, and lubrication maintenance. Assist with brake, tire, steering, suspension, and other mechanical repairs. Replace worn or damaged parts and components. Assist with welding, fabrication, and basic repairs when needed. Safely use hand tools, power tools, jacks, lifts, and other shop equipment. Assist with maintaining trailers, carts, and other yard equipment. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs. Keep the maintenance shop, equipment, and tools clean and organized. Follow all company and equipment-specific safety procedures. Perform other maintenance-related duties as needed. Qualifications Previous mechanical, automotive, diesel, equipment, or manufacturing experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Comfortable using basic hand and power tools. Ability to follow instructions and work safely. Strong attention to detail.
