This position is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex mechanical systems. The role combines advanced technical expertise with leadership, safety oversight, and operational reliability.
Typical responsibilities include:
Operating and maintaining HVAC, boiler, chiller, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment issues Performing preventive and predictive maintenance
Monitoring building automation and energy management systems
Ensuring compliance with safety codes, environmental regulations, and operational standards
Responding to emergencies and equipment failures -Maintaining logs, inspections, and maintenance records.

Required Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED.
18 months of steam and chill water plant operation experience.
Required Certifications and Licenses:
Oklahoma City and Norman campuses: High Pressure Boiler License and State of Oklahoma High Pressure Boiler License.
Tulsa campus: City of Tulsa Unlimited First Class Stationary Engineer License. Valid Oklahoma Driver's License in order to drive University vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date.
