Job Title:
Maintenance Mechanic Job Description Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic at our production facility in Wilsonville, Oregon. This role operates during the Swing Shift from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, with a $0.50 shift differential. You will play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and functionality of our mechanical systems. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, including disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration. Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems. Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery. Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs. Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear. Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions using voltmeters and other testing devices. Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs. Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs. Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment. Troubleshoot and repair machine electrical and controls malfunctions, including 3-phase motor replacements, photo eye adjustments, servos, machine timing, and circuit replacements. Cut and weld metal to repair broken parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment. Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators. Record parts and materials used, and order or requisition new parts and materials as necessary. Perform other tasks and special assignments as requested by management. Essential Skills Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. 3+ years of experience in a relevant field or technical schooling. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Ability to read schematics. Welding and fabrication experience. Production maintenance work history. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a fast-paced, highly automated, and clean food-grade facility. Hair nets and face nets are required if you have facial hair. Overtime is always available for those interested. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilsonville, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $33.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
