We're looking for dynamic Industrial Maintenance Mechanics to keep our manufacturing equipment operating at peak performance. In this position, you'll work with a variety of heavy industrial machinery, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, performing repairs, and executing preventive maintenance to reduce downtime. Pay:

$33

• 42/hr base pay (based on experience) + year end bonus
• + $6/hr shift differential for hours worked Friday-Sunday (starting at 5:00 AM)

Location:

Douglassville, PA (Serving Reading, Pottstown, Phoenixville, Exeter, Birdsboro, Boyertown, Limerick, and surrounding areas)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, gear boxes, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and screws.
• Repair/troubleshoot hydraulic cylinders, valves, solenoids and pumps
• Identify and make hydraulic hoses as needed
• Advanced welding and fabrication skills. Must perform stick welding in various positions, locations and weld various types of joints
• Ability to properly operate band saws, torch, drill presses, grinders and other shop tools
• Performs installation of new equipment. Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
• Familiar with interference fits and bearing heaters
• Start or jog equipment to perform maintenance tasks
• Basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Test malfunctioning machinery, identifying parts needed and complete repairs
• Repair, install and dismantle machinery and equipment according to plans which involves working at heights, climbing ladders and using mobile equipment (cranes, forklift, scissor lift, etc.).
• Document and perform all preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment dependability.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 3 + years' experience working in Industrial Maintenance.
• Proficient with use of power tools, measuring devices, lathe and/or milling machinery
• Previous experience using bearing heaters, interference fits, and/or removing gear boxes or seized bearings/shafts
• Advanced stick welding and fabrication skills repairing heavy industrial equipment
• Basic understanding of motor controls, PLCs (programmable logic controllers), and VFDs (variable frequency drives) is preferred
• Experience working with CMMS software
• Basic industrial electrical experience
• Experienced with rigging, hoisting, and equipment installation
• Experienced with precision alignment and fine adjustments
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends if needed Why Techo-Bloc?
