Job Title:
Electro-Mechanical Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician for a 2nd shift position to operate, test, and maintain unmanned, automated, robotic, or electromechanical equipment. This role requires a high level of expertise in both mechanical and electrical technology. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and correct electrical and mechanical problems. Perform all prescribed preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment. Actively participate in company safety programs, including safety inspections and JSA risk assessments. Repair and troubleshoot thermoforming and extrusion equipment. Fulfill electrician or mechanical duties on the Fire Brigade/HazMat Teams. Operate shop equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain neat and organized documentation and input work orders and SAP. Operate forklifts and yard equipment to support plant emergencies. Ensure work meets high standards of quality, proficiency, and material utilization. Conduct food safety and defense self-inspections and report deficiencies. Perform other related work as assigned by the Supervisor. Essential Skills Electrical Troubleshooting 5-7 years of relevant experience Leadership skills Proficiency with PLCs including Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Slicks Additional Skills & Qualifications Two-Year Associates Degree or graduation from a Licensed Apprentice Program At least ten years of industrial experience in an Electrical and Mechanical environment Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing environment that produces foam trays for food. The work schedule is 2nd shift from 3 PM to 11 PM, Monday to Friday, with overtime every other weekend (32 hours per month). The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, extreme temperatures, and noise. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
