    Shift Assembly Mechanic
  • Job Description
  • Join a leading global technology company known for its innovation in energy, paper, raw materials, and transport & automotive sectors. As a Shift Assembly Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery through scheduled maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Complete scheduled and routine maintenance work.
+ Perform preventative and predictive maintenance tasks. + Disassemble rotating assemblies to diagnose failures and write detailed reports. + Reassemble machines and rotating assemblies to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) condition once parts are repaired. + Read and interpret blueprints and drawings. + Measure bearing clearance and shaft diameters using inside and outside micrometers. + Dismantle machines as necessary. + Move and align machinery and equipment utilizing hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks. + Operate cranes, forklifts, and utilize hand and power tools. + Use large bearing pullers, torches, and perform light TIG welding. + Install new and existing machinery, possibly at mill sites. + Troubleshoot and resolve equipment reliability issues.
  • Essential Skills
  • + Proficiency in reading blueprints and mechanical drawings. + Experience in mechanical assembly and industrial repairs. + Ability to measure accurately using micrometers. + Familiarity with machine alignment and installation processes. + Capability to operate cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Experience in welding. + Ability to operate hoists and lift trucks.

00 - $74000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
