Job Overview We are seeking a Journeyman Installer• to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various low-voltage systems across commercial and high-end residential environments. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of structural cabling, security systems, and telecommunications infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities Installation & Cabling:

Pull, terminate, and test CAT6, Fiber Optic, and Coaxial cables.

System Integration:

Install and configure IP cameras, Access Control, and AV systems.

Hardware Mounting:

Install racks, cabinets, cable trays, and wireless access points (WAPs).

Troubleshooting:

Identify and resolve connectivity issues using fluke meters and other diagnostic tools.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate "as-built" drawings and daily progress reports.

Mentorship:

Lead and train junior technicians/apprentices on-site to ensure high-quality workmanship.

Travel & Availability Travel:

Willingness to travel to various job sites within the greater Bay Area and Central Valley . Occasional regional travel may be required based on project scope.

Transportation:

Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation (or be cleared to operate company vehicles).

Schedule:

Flexibility to work occasional nights or weekends to meet project deadlines or minimize disruption at client sites.

Required Qualifications Certification:

Must be Lift Certified (MEWP) for operating scissor and boom lifts safely.

Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in low-voltage installation or a similar field.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of OSP (Outside Plant) and ISP (Inside Plant) environments.

Certifications:

Journeyman status or equivalent industry certifications (e.g., BICSI) are highly preferred.

Tools:

Must be proficient with power tools, ladders, and testing equipment.

Compliance:

Code and OSHA safety standards.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client-facing interactions. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfort working at heights (ladders/lifts) and in confined spaces (crawls/attics).

Pay:

$31.48 - $33.64 per hour
