Industrial Mechanic Location:

Chattanooga, TN Responsibilities (Including but not limited to the following) Installation of mechanical components according to drawings and lists Reading and execution of switch plans and technical drawings Assemble and build equipment according to mechanical, pneumatic and schematic drawings Prepare components and equipment for dispatch and detach; label parts if necessary Testing and production startup of the equipment Install and troubleshoot equipment at customer facilities Coordination with assigned site manager or project manager and/or other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently May require up to 50% travel (short and long term; domestic and international; Applicant must have a passport) Self-sufficient execution of given tasks Education/Training/Experience High School Diploma; two-year technical degree preferred Minimum of 3 years industrial mechanical experience Experience in the automotive line building industry and a strong background with a custom assembly equipment manufacturer Knowledge of safety policies and procedures Experience with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic & electrical components High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required Solid stress resistance and ability to keep calm in whatever situation Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
