Plant Mechanic

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plant Mechanic to join our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, five or more years of experience with industrial maintenance, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment. This role involves maintaining and repairing machinery, building, and the grounds, while ensuring optimal operation of equipment, and supporting continuous production processes. Candidates with experience in hydraulics, welding, fabrication, pneumatics, electric motors, gear boxes, augers, PLC experience, and a strong focus on safety will be set-up for success. Excellent analysis skills and customer service orientation are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical components Troubleshoot issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and voltmeters Operate and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper functioning of automated systems Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work order management and documentation Maintain building and grounds Conduct welding tasks to repair or fabricate parts as needed Work with low voltage electrical systems safely and effectively Assist with field service activities to support equipment installation or emergency repairs on-site or at customer locations Follow safety protocols related to electrical work, and industrial maintenance procedures Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the plant's machinery and infrastructure Experience Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment Strong background in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, hydraulics, welding and fabrication Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software is a plus Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters for diagnostics Field service experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous Excellent customer service skills combined with technical expertise to support internal teams or external clients This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where technical skills are valued. Pay:

$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
