Other duties may be assigned Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and takes corrective action. Performs preventative maintenance, makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality Reviews production schedule and when equipment is not scheduled for production, changes over equipment to new sizes or performs scheduled maintenance. Tests equipment to check operation. Clears jams and sets aside product for inspection and rework. Tries out equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime. Uses Knowledge of electric motors, resistant welders, transformers, ARC welding, air compressors, air cylinders, air control valves and regulators. Uses knowledge of clutches, bearings, brakes, gears, cams, pulleys,etc. Uses Knowledge of gas burners, regulators, and burner controls. Uses knowledge of steam generators, steam controls, regulators, and heat exchangers. Responsible for conducting all works in a safe, clean and orderly manner. May perform other duties as requested. May participate on project teams as requested.
