Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Elevator Apprentice and embark on an exciting journey into the world of vertical transportation systems. In this paid apprenticeship role, you will gain hands-on experience in installing, modernizing, and troubleshooting elevators. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, you will develop essential skills in hydraulics, electrical systems, mechanical components, and schematics. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to build a solid foundation in industrial maintenance and field service while contributing to safe and reliable elevator operations. Responsibilities Assist in the installation, inspection, and maintenance of elevator systems, including hydraulic and electrical components. Learn to interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings to understand system layouts and troubleshoot issues effectively. Support routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure elevator safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Participate in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems using industry-specific tools and techniques. Help with the repair and replacement of elevator parts, ensuring minimal downtime for customers. Engage in field service activities by traveling to job sites, assisting senior technicians with on-site repairs and installations. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about work performed and safety procedures. Experience No prior experience is required; however, candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in industrial mechanics or electrical systems. A background or coursework in hydraulics, mechanical knowledge, or electrical fundamentals is advantageous. Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, or industrial maintenance practices is a plus. Previous experience in field service or industrial mechanic roles can help accelerate your learning curve. Candidates should possess good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude toward safety and quality standards. A willingness to learn new skills on the job while adhering to safety protocols is essential for success in this apprenticeship.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
