This critical role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing industrial laundry equipment in a high-volume hospitality laundry operation. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience working with industrial laundry systems, and a commitment to maintaining operational efficiency, safety, and equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironers, folders, pumps, boilers, and related systems. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair needs. Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and operational effectiveness. Perform routine inspections of motors, bearings, belts, valves, compressors, and other mechanical components. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and preventative maintenance schedules. Ensure equipment operates safely and in compliance with company standards, OSHA regulations, and manufacturer specifications. Collaborate with operations leaders and laundry staff to support production goals and maintain uninterrupted workflow. Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and system upgrades. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of industrial laundry or related mechanical maintenance experience required . Experience working with high-volume commercial laundry equipment strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems. Ability to diagnose and repair industrial machinery in a fast-paced production environment. Experience reading technical manuals, diagrams, schematics, and blueprints. Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and workplace safety practices. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment components as required.
