In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial compressors and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our production lines running smoothly, supporting our commitment to quality and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and a passion for industrial maintenance to contribute to a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on shop compressors, including reciprocating, rotary screw, and centrifugal types. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to schedule maintenance tasks and document repairs. Conduct welding operations, including welding techniques, for compressor repairs or component fabrication. Troubleshoot electrical systems involving high voltage and low voltage components; interpret electrical schematics for accurate repairs. Operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts and ensure compliance with safety standards including HVAC/R systems when applicable. Collaborate with technical sales teams to provide customer service support during onsite maintenance or troubleshooting visits. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs in accordance with safety and quality standards. Assist in the training of team members on the proper use of precision tools and safety procedures related to industrial mechanics. Experience Proven experience working in an industrial mechanic or maintenance role. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and industrial electrical components. Hands-on experience with schematics interpretation, troubleshooting control systems involving PLCs, and using CMMS software. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments effectively. Experience working with high voltage electrical systems and low voltage control circuits in an industrial environment. Prior field service experience is preferred; military background in technical roles is a plus. Excellent analysis skills combined with customer service orientation to resolve issues efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
