Rail Car Operator / Production Laborer - Great Fit for Anyone Who Likes Hands‑On Work This is a steady, full‑time industrial role where you'll help unload cement rail cars, operate equipment, and keep material flowing through the plant. If you've worked in warehouse, construction, manufacturing, landscaping, or any physical labor job , you can succeed here. The company provides training, clear instructions, and a strong safety culture. You'll work both indoors and outdoors, stay active throughout your shift, and learn how to operate pneumatic and mechanical equipment used in rail unloading. This job offers long‑term stability, overtime opportunities, and the chance to build valuable industrial skills. ⭐ What You'll Do Prepare rail cars by hooking/unhooking and getting them ready for unloading Use a 50‑lb industrial vibrator to help cement flow smoothly Operate unloading systems using a simple computer interface Attach pneumatic boots and lock them in place Monitor silo flow and make sure material moves correctly Unload 4-5 rail cars per day , keeping quality and safety consistent Collect cement samples and follow cross‑containment procedures Do general housekeeping (sweeping, mopping, cleaning) when unloading is paused Climb stairs and work at heights as part of daily tasks Follow all PPE and safety rules —steel‑toe boots required Communicate clearly with your team about equipment, rail car status, and any issues Assist with truck loading/unloading and other production tasks as needed ⭐ Who Thrives in This Role People who like physical work and staying active Anyone comfortable lifting 50 lbs Workers who don't mind heights or climbing stairs Basic computer users —just enough to monitor a screen Detail‑oriented workers who follow instructions Reliable, safety‑focused people Candidates open to overtime Anyone with warehouse, production, or outdoor labor experience ⭐ Nice to Have (Not Required) Industrial or manufacturing experience Comfort around mechanical or pneumatic equipment Experience working outdoors in heat, cold, or dusty conditions Strong work ethic and willingness to help with housekeeping tasks ⭐ Why You'll Love Working Here You'll be part of a large, well‑established building materials company with operations across the U.S. and Canada. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
