GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Mechanical Services Manager the Parts Person works proficiently with others, but also has the ability to work well independently. The parts person will have strong mechanical aptitude and experience with the proper and safe use of all hand tools, power tools, torches and all other tools of the trade.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Initial assignment qualities and responsibilities to include: Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with the proper and safe use of all hand tools, power tools, torches and all other tools of the trade. Ability and experience in properly disassembling and assembling paper machine rolls. Ability in the proper dismounting, care and mounting of all types of bearings found in the trade. Ability to read and understand standard mechanical prints, including standard symbols, units of measure and abbreviations. Ability to perform other maintenance, housekeeping, painting and miscellaneous tasks as neded and/or as directed by supervisor. Be willing and able to proficiently perform all tasks with or without supervison.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
On the job training will be provided.
