- Assist the Facilities Technician with general repairs and maintenance throughout company facilities.
- Assist with basic electrical work, including replacing light fixtures, switches, outlets, bulbs, and other components as directed and permitted.
- Assist with plumbing repairs such as replacing faucets, repairing minor leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures.
- Assist with construction and remodeling projects, including demolition, framing, drywall repair, installation, and general carpentry.
- Prepare surfaces and assist with interior and exterior painting projects.
- Assist with repairing and installing doors, locks, shelving, cabinets, trim, fixtures, and other building components.
- Help assemble, move, install, or repair furniture, displays, equipment, and other company property.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and help identify potential facility issues before they become larger problems.
- Assist with loading, unloading, transporting, and organizing tools, equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas during and after projects. Help maintain tools and equipment and report damaged or missing equipment.
- Assist with facility inspections and communicate any safety concerns, damage, or needed repairs.
- Travel between company locations as needed to assist with repairs, maintenance, and special projects.
- Pick up materials, parts, or supplies from vendors when necessary.
- Follow company safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Assist outside contractors or vendors when directed by the Facilities Technician or management.
- Use ladders, lifts, and other elevated work equipment as required for maintenance and repair projects.
- Complete other maintenance, repair, construction, and facility-related duties as assigned. Qualifications
- Previous experience in maintenance, construction, handyman work, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn multiple trades.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively alongside the Facilities Technician.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks after receiving direction.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work safely and efficiently.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be comfortable working at heights and using lifts, ladders, and other elevated work equipment.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record may be required due to travel between company locations. Physical Requirements This position requires regular physical activity, including:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, climbing, and working from ladders.
- Working at elevated heights using lifts, ladders, and other approved equipment.
- Frequently lifting and carrying tools, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds independently and assist with heavier items when necessary.
- Working both indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions.
- Using hand tools, power tools, lifts, and maintenance equipment safely.
