Assistant Maintenance Technician

Job Summary The Assistant Maintenance Technician supports the maintenance team in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining equipment, machinery, buildings, and facilities. This role helps ensure all systems operate efficiently and safely while assisting with preventive maintenance and repair tasks. Key Responsibilities Assist in performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facility systems Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns Help maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance records Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner Assist with installation and setup of equipment and fixtures Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies Keep work areas clean and organized Support senior technicians and maintenance supervisors with daily tasks Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and report shortages Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures and repair techniques Ability to use hand and power tools safely Good problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods Previous maintenance or technical experience is an advantage Skills Mechanical aptitude Attention to detail Time management Troubleshooting abilities Safety awareness Basic computer and record-keeping skills Working Conditions May work indoors and outdoors depending on the facility Exposure to machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures May require evening, weekend, or on-call work

Pay:

$13.00 - $16.00 per hour
