Job Summary Job Summary Under the direction of the Director II-MOT, perform a variety of grounds maintenance and gardening duties in the beautification of assigned grounds and landscaped areas; perform a variety of tasks related to building and equipment maintenance needs; maintain assigned grounds in a clean and safe condition. Knowledge of:
Basic grounds maintenance procedures including mowing, edging, raking and weeding. Methods, equipment and materials used in gardening and grounds keeping work. Cultivating, fertilizing, watering, and spraying of flowers, trees and shrubs. Operation and maintenance of hand and power tools, heavy grounds equipment, and equipment used in grounds keeping. Basic record-keeping techniques. Health and safety regulations.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
All persons hired for a position that requires driving a District vehicle for which the District pays the license fees must have a Valid California Driver's License and participate in the District Drug and Alcohol Testing and Employer Pull Notice Program. Valid Forklift certification obtained within probationary period.

Possess and maintain valid Class C California Driver's License High School Diploma, or equivalency H-6 DMV printout
