Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic Porter/Maintenance Worker to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, performing custodial tasks, and assisting with general facilities upkeep. Your efforts will ensure our shop remains a safe, efficient, and welcoming space for both staff and clients. Duties Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to uphold high standards of sanitation and cleanliness Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools safely and effectively Handle chemical agents following safety protocols to ensure proper sanitation without hazards Assist with facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs, painting, and upkeep of the shop environment Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, equipment, or debris while adhering to safe lifting practices Maintain safety procedures during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries Support the team with industrial cleaning projects or specialized tasks such as floor care or buffing Requirements Prior custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or industrial settings preferred Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and chemical handling safety procedures Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely and efficiently Strong attention to safety protocol adherence in all aspects of work Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as painting or minor repairs is a plus Reliable work ethic with the ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain a clean work environment Join us in keeping our facility pristine and well-maintained!
