Building Maintenance Worker II - Structural - Extra Help

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform semi-skilled structural maintenance and repair duties involving County facilities and equipment; assist skilled maintenance personnel in one or more of the structural trades as required. Building Maintenance Worker II-Structural incumbents perform semi-skilled maintenance and repair duties in either the mechanical or structural trades involving some independent decision making requiring previous experience. Building Maintenance Worker I incumbents perform routine maintenance and repair duties in mechanical and structural trades involving general knowledge in one or more of the various maintenance trades.

Any combination equivalent to:

two years maintenance and repair experience in one or more of the structural trades. Valid California driver's license. Incumbents in this classification must pass a law enforcement security check. A valid driver's license may be required at the time of appointment and employees may also be required to drive their own vehicle and provide proof of liability insurance as per Vehicle Code VC § 160020. Individuals who do not meet this requirement due to a disability will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This position may require pre-employment drug test, physical examination, and fingerprinting for a background investigation.
