CITY OF FIREBAUGH JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Utility Maintenance Worker I Deadline to File- September 18, 2026 The City of Firebaugh is accepting applications for the position of Utility Maintenance Worker I .
Hourly:
$19.96- $26.
Monthly:
$3,458- $4,635
Annual:
$41,506- $55,622 Required Qualifications Water & Sewer Distribution Grade I Certificate (required; must be obtained within an agreed time schedule)

safety rules and regulations Ability to wear and properly maintain City-issued uniforms and personal protective equipment- High School Diploma or equivalent and California Driver's License required. Essential Job Duties Assist in the maintenance, repair, and operation of the City's water distribution and sewer collection systems.
- Perform routine public works maintenance including streets, facilities, landscaping, and grounds maintenance.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and light equipment. Inspect utility system components, identify deficiencies, and report repair needs. Assist with reading, repairing, replacing, and maintaining water meters. Clean, clear, and maintain pipelines, valves, fire hydrants, and related utility infrastructure.
- Respond to customer service requests, emergency situations, and scheduled after-hours assignments.
- Maintain accurate records, work logs, and reports.

Medical Insurance:
City pays 80% of the employee premium; employee pays 20%.Dental & Vision Insurance:
