We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker II to join our manufacturing team. Position Summary The Maintenance Worker II is responsible for performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines, molds, auxiliary equipment, cooling systems, and facility support equipment. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring safe and efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in plastic injection molding operations, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, identifying replacement parts, and coordinating repairs. This position may require participation in an on-call rotation and occasional after-hours support for critical equipment issues. Key Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance & Repair Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines, robots, conveyors, chillers, dryers, grinders, and auxiliary equipment. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and basic electrical systems. Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime. Maintain, lubricate, inspect, and service machinery according to maintenance schedules. Perform mold cooling system maintenance, including cleaning and inspection of cooling circuits and related components. Support mold changes and ensure equipment readiness for production. Parts Management & Inventory Identify worn, damaged, or obsolete components before failure occurs. Research, source, and order replacement parts and maintenance supplies. Maintain accurate spare parts inventory and recommend stocking levels for critical components. Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes, technical information, and replacement equipment. Preventive Maintenance & Documentation Execute preventive maintenance programs on production and facility equipment. Maintain detailed maintenance records, work orders, and repair histories. Assist in developing and improving maintenance procedures and schedules. Recommend equipment improvements that enhance reliability, safety, and efficiency. Teamwork & Support Collaborate closely with production, tooling, quality, and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues. Assist with larger maintenance projects requiring multiple technicians. Train and mentor Maintenance Worker I employees and support skill development across the team. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and root-cause analysis efforts. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably plastic injection molding. Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Ability to identify replacement parts, read equipment manuals, and coordinate parts procurement. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to lift, carry, and work around industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment. Willingness to work flexible schedules and participate in on-call support. Preferred Technical school certification, apprenticeship, or related maintenance training. Experience with injection molding machines and auxiliary processing equipment. Basic electrical troubleshooting experience (motors, sensors, relays, and controls). Experience with cooling towers, water chillers, and facility utility systems. Welding, fabrication, or machining experience. Forklift, scissor lift, or other industrial equipment certifications. What We're Looking For Exceptional attention to detail. $27.00 - $38.00 per hour
