97 Per Hour Add'l Salary Info Salary Placement is Dependent on Experience related to position; Educational Incentive Pay Available Length of Work Year 8/hours per day for 261 days a year (12-month) Employment Type Full Time Job Summary Job Summary Under general supervision of maintenance foreman, to perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair work on school buildings and equipment; water quality and treatment operator (shift operator) duties and to do related work as required. Positions in this class are assigned a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance trades. Although work requires the use of journeyman's tools and the ability to do work in one or more of the crafts, the skill required in any one field is normally less than would be required of a journeyman in that field except for those skills required as part of a water shift operator. Shift operator means a person in direct charge of the operation of a water treatment facility or distribution system for a specified period of the day
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
  • Equivalent to completion of the 12th grade.
  • Three years of general work experience, including some semi-skilled experience in one or more of the maintenance trades.
  • State Required Water Licenses
  • Valid Class lll California Driver's License.

Mariposa County has several rural communities that surround Yosemite National Park and are centrally located in California to provide a day's drive to old-growth forests, deserts, coastal communities, and cities. The area is suited for those interested in outdoor activities and rural community life.
