This classification is subject to the Post and Bid process. Applications from a certification list, transfer change in class, reinstatement, re-employment, and training and development assignment candidates will be accepted for this position but consistent with the MOU/Bargaining Agreement BU12/13 contract cannot be acted upon unless the Post & Bid process does not result in a hire. The incumbent's work schedule will be Tuesday to Saturday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The reporting location for this position is Huntington State Beach. This position will work under the supervision of the Park Maintenance Supervisor. The Park Maintenance Worker I will perform facility maintenance duties, refuse disposal duties, and maintain the inventory of housekeeping supplies. The incumbent will be a lead person to Park Maintenance Assistant and Maintenance Aide (Seasonal) employees. Additional duties include participating in facility maintenance projects, operating and maintaining a variety of vehicles, equipment, and tools used in maintenance and housekeeping operations and performing semi-skilled maintenance as required. The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment. Possession of a valid Class C driver's license is required.
