Utility Engineer Olympic Club - 3.9 San Francisco, CA Job Details Full-time $38.24 an hour 11 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Record keeping Computer operation Computer literacy English Driver's License Productivity software Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description The Olympic Club , a private member athletic and country club in San Francisco, seeks an Utility Engineer for our City Club property. At The Olympic Club, our members enjoy 2 campuses, 19 sports, world-renowned golf courses, exceptional social and athletic programs as well as 18 hotel rooms and 5 Food & Beverage outlets. Our City Clubhouse is located one block from Union Square and within easy walking distance of the Powell Street BART station. Our Lakeside Clubhouse sits next to the ocean on the border of San Francisco and Daly City. The Olympic Club offers free meals during work shifts, free golf on Mondays at our Lakeside campus and a variety of sport and social events for employees throughout the year.
Benefits include:
PTO, sick time, holidays, and uniforms. Our Utility Engineers are members of Local 39. Scheduling is by position seniority with shifts assigned based on operational needs. Candidates must have availability to work flexible schedules including day times, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
Under general supervision, Utility Worker provides support to Stationary Engineers and performs a variety of manual and general labor tasks in connection with general building and grounds maintenance, and performs other related duties as required. Performs general building maintenance under close supervision Performs grounds, maintenance, and minor repair work Unclogs toilets, kitchen and bathroom drains Replaces and repairs door and window hardware Changes HVAC filters Performs general labor work as assigned by the Stationary Engineers including loading, uploading, moving materials, and running errands for projects Replaces light bulbs/lamps and cleans fixtures; changes ballasts Responds quickly to emergency situations and concerns Patches and paints walls as needed Assembles and disassembles furniture Sets up events Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives as related to building operations and practices safe work habits Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Candidate Requirements Include:
High School graduation, State High School Proficiency Certificate, G.E.D. equivalent or trade school equivalent education Fluent English written and oral communication Must have basic Microsoft Office knowledge and how to operate a computer Ability to follow oral and written directions Be able to demonstrate mechanical ability Keep accurate records Must possess a valid driver's license May be required to work over-time, including weekends and holidays, and/or shift work, based on operational needs Non-essential Functions and responsibilities: Other reasonable, work-related duties as assigned by a manager. Attend pre-shift or other work-related meetings as scheduled.
Qualifications Required:
1. One year of experience in the maintenance of buildings and grounds; OR 2. Six months experience as Utility Worker Regular attendance required based on business expectations and needs. Complies with all federal, state, and local employment laws, safety regulations and guidelines, Olympic Club bylaws and house rules, Club policies and procedures and Union contracts. Interviews are by scheduled appointment only. All employment offers are pending satisfactory results from a background investigation and pre-employment drug testing.
