POSITION DETAILS
Salary range: $22.86 to $29.20 hourly with Excellent Benefits. 3% Cost of Living adjustment increase effective 7/13/26 3% Cost of Living adjustment increase effective 7/12/27 Generally, salary placement is at the beginning of the salary range. Advanced placement may be granted depending on related education and experience.
NOTE:
The City recently completed a compensation study comparing its salary ranges with those of other local agencies. As a result, 87% of salary ranges will be adjusted upward at various intervals. As ranges are adjusted, job postings will be updated to reflect these changes. Full-time regular position Schedule consists of a 4/10 typically working Tuesday through Friday.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Education/Training:
Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
Experience:
Two years of general maintenance experience performing field maintenance work within the assigned area of responsibility.
License or Certificate:
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid Class A driver license within one year (Landscape or Streets) of employment. Possession of, or ability to obtain, CPR and First Aid certifications within the first six months. Additional industry-specific certifications may be required depending on area of assignment.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Maintenance Worker I/II IDEAL
CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: Experience in asphalt and concrete repair, along with general construction knowledge. Knowledge of equipment such as backhoes, skid steers, and related tools. Ability to learn quickly and adapt well to changing conditions, especially in traffic control. Follow oral and written instructions accurately and efficiently. Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting, shoveling, and other labor-intensive tasks. Ability to obtain a Class A CDL within probationary period. Ability to work in inclement weather and respond to after-hours, standby, and emergency callouts. Dependable, strong work ethic, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
