In this vital role, you'll be responsible for a wide range of maintenance tasks that ensure our grounds, structures, and equipment are in top condition. Your hands-on expertise will contribute to creating a safe, attractive, and functional environment for everyone. Duties Perform routine and preventive maintenance on buildings, landscaping, and outdoor facilities to ensure safety and functionality. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators to complete repairs, installations, and landscaping projects. Maintain lawns through mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to promote healthy growth. Conduct landscape maintenance including planting, pruning trees and shrubs, trimming hedges, and installing or repairing hardscape features like walkways or patios. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed. Clear snow using snow plows or shovels during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible. Assist with construction projects or repairs around the property involving fencing, decking, or other outdoor structures. Support tree care activities such as trimming or removal to maintain safety and aesthetic appeal. Perform gardening tasks including planting flowers or shrubs to enhance visual appeal. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and environmental regulations. Experience Proven experience in general maintenance work with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and tools. Knowledge of lawn care practices including mowing, landscaping, irrigation, and gardening techniques. Familiarity with landscape maintenance equipment such as trimmers, blowers, and excavators. Hands-on experience with construction projects involving hardscape features or outdoor structures is preferred. Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively while adhering to safety protocols. Basic understanding of horticulture principles related to plant health and landscape design. Prior work involving snow plowing or winter weather preparation is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical or landscape issues efficiently.
