Public Works Service Worker III
Must have a basic knowledge of road construction/road maintenance procedures. Must be able to perform work without direction or immediate supervision and follow detailed instruction to aid in the efficient and effective completion of the project or assigned task. Must perform work in a courteous and safe manner. Must be able to effectively communicate verbally through radio. Must be capable of standing 8-12 hours. Position requires good manual dexterity. When contact with the public is required, the employee must maintain a courteous, helpful attitude. Must be able to follow instructions from senior employees. Administration

- Job Description Summary Perform a variety of administrative duties, use mobile data entry devices in the field, set up, maintain, and remove temporary and permanent traffic control devices according to Federal, State and Local temporary traffic control guidelines and the MUTCD. This position can be assigned to any division as needed in Public Works.

- 80% Perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in the operation of heavy equipment, machinery, trucks, tools in construction and repair activities, and will be required to perform a certain amount of manual labor.

- Required Qualifications Required Education High School Diploma/GED Required Work Experience Two years' experience as an equipment operator with working knowledge of tools and light and heavy equipment necessary for maintenance activities.
