Maintenance Trades Helper- Machine Operator Trainee General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), located in Pawcatuck, CT has been supporting the US Navy Submarine and Surface Ships for over 30 years. We are a full-service organization ranging from concept development through installation. We support all facets of the ship building industrial base including Engineering, Design and Drafting, Precision Machining, Sheet Metal, Structural Fabrication, Welding, Finishing, Electronic Assembly, and Installations. We are located right between Groton, CT and Quonset Point, RI offering an easy commute and ample parking outside the building for a quick 30 second walk to your work area. Applies knowledge of machining, shop mathematics, and machine procedures. Verifies dimensions with measuring instruments. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

GED Skills and Abilities:
Basic blueprint reading. Use of measuring tools. Will be trained on a CNC milling machine. Willing to invest and shows initiative and quality craftsmanship. US Citizenship Required

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $15.06 - $20.38. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
