POSITION SUMMARY

To operate and care for golf course maintenance equipment by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Safely operates various mowers, tractor-drawn mowers, loaders, dump trucks and portable pumps for various course needs. Maintains equipment by cleaning and inspecting machinery after each use. Reports machinery or equipment problems to the Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent immediately. Loads, unloads and hauls dirt, debris and other material and refuse. Collects and empties litter receptacles. Cut grass, weeds and bushes. Acknowledges members and guests with a proper greeting and smile. All other tasks assigned by the Director of Golf Course Maintenance, Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.

Education / Experience

Have a minimum of 1-year related experience. Qualifications/Skills Must be able to understand basic commands in English and have basic communications skills. Have basic knowledge of mechanical operation of trucks, other motorized equipment, and common construction• and maintenance tools. Must be able to properly operate a gas or electric powered golf cart. Available to work weekends and holidays.
