Cocoa Beach:
the Hampton by Hilton, Courtyard by Marriott, Best Western Oceanfront, and Days Inn. Together, these establishments meet the lodging needs of a diverse range of visitors to the area. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 1. Handling all in-house repairs regarding removing and replacing bathroom tile, painting, repairing wallboard, wall vinyl, carpentry, etc. 2. Performs routine maintenance on building interior and exterior. 3. Contacts and schedules vendors and contractors for necessary building repairs and emergencies that are outside the scope of routine maintenance. 4. Maintains a schedule of when maintenance has been performed and when the next service is due. 5. Works in a safe manner and recognizes unsafe situations. Take appropriate action to ensure the safety of themselves and others in the building. Competencies 1. Collaboration Skills. 2. Customer/Client Focus. 3. Flexibility. 4. Stress Management/Composure. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in public and non-public areas of the property, including guest rooms. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions while performing their duties. The noise level in the work environment and work areas can be loud. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, lift, and pull items over 75 pounds. The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. Position Type This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Travel No travel is expected for this position. Required Education and Experience 1. High school diploma or GED. Preferred Education and Experience 1. Experience doing maintenance work in a similar type of environment. Additional Eligibility Qualifications None required for this position.
