We are seeking a friendly, helpful, flexible and dedicated Part Time Maintenance Worker to join our team and ensure the optimal upkeep of the hotel both indoors and outdoor areas. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotels exterior and interior areas, and performing routine repairs in the hotel guest rooms to keep our rooms safe, attractive, and functional. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for our out of town visitors. This part time position offers an exciting opportunity to work in doors and outdoors, apply your technical skills, and contribute to the beautification and safety of our property. Responsibilities Perform outdoor maintenance tasks including keeping the grounds clean and safe Walkthroughs and checks on property outdoor lighting, emergency exits are working and area is in clean condition. Daily in room preventative maintenance to include painting, caulking, sink and toilet repairs in all guest rooms and bathrooms Ensure lobby area, hallways, meeting room, lobby restrooms, breakfast area, stairwells and all public spaces are clean and everything in good condition. Ensure all indoor exit signs are working properly and lights are on. Communications with the Front Desk, Housekeeper and General Manager for work orders and daily assignments Maintain a high level of customer service by responding promptly to guest repair requests or concerns with professionalism and courtesy. Follow-up with the front desk on all requests and assignments. Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries while working indoors and outdoors with various tools and equipment. Skills Mechanical knowledge of HVAC's, plumbing and electricity Carpentry knowledge Proven outdoor work experience with a focus on cleanliness Ability to use hand tools as well as power tools safely and effectively.
