- Performs skilled to highly skilled trades work in area assigned
- Performs general maintenance tasks
- Performs skilled installation and repair/modification, site layout, troubleshooting, diagnostics within assigned trades.
- Operates various manual and electrical tools in the performance of tasks
- Under the direction of the designated supervisor, designs and implements preventive maintenance programs to ensure compliance with sanitary and health codes.
- Clean and repair equipment as needed
- Participates in on-call duty.
- May be required to operate a motor vehicle in performance of assigned tasks.
- This position requires regular and reliable attendance and the employee's physical presence at the workplace
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Facilities Management:
- May assist in general maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, hanging pictures, filter changes, patching and painting of the exterior and interior of buildings as needed.
- Assist Facilities Management Electrician in all aspects of related electrical work.
- Responsible for complex plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC repairs/maintenance.
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of city facilities.
- May repair pumps and motors.
