This role involves supporting the maintenance and repair of facility equipment, systems, and infrastructure to ensure smooth operations across our manufacturing or facilities environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, proficiency with electrical and plumbing systems, and experience with various maintenance tasks. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where safety, efficiency, and quality are paramount. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building interior systems. Utilize hand tools, schematics, CMMS software, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot issues effectively. Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other facilities maintenance tasks to uphold building standards. Maintain HVAC systems including repair and system troubleshooting to ensure optimal climate control. Repair electrical equipment and perform electrical work following safety protocols. Maintain plumbing systems through inspection, repair, and system upgrades. Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects and other R&M (repair & maintenance) activities. Read and interpret schematics for various mechanical and electrical systems to facilitate accurate repairs. Support the maintenance team in managing facilities equipment and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Document maintenance activities accurately using CMMS or other tracking tools. Experience Proven experience with facilities maintenance including electrical work, plumbing, HVAC system repair, carpentry, welding, and mechanical repairs. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, electrical equipment repair, and building interior maintenance is highly desirable. Experience working with Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) procedures in manufacturing or industrial environments. Knowledge of residential painting techniques alongside industrial painting is a plus. Supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance setting is advantageous but not mandatory. Proficiency with tools such as hand tools and diagnostic devices like ohmmeters; experience with CMMS software is preferred. Strong understanding of safety standards related to electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general facilities maintenance. Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate effectively with team members and other departments. This Maintenance Assistant role requires a proactive approach to facility upkeep with a focus on safety, quality workmanship, and operational efficiency. Candidates should be prepared to handle diverse tasks across multiple trades while maintaining a high standard of professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
