Custodian/Maintenance Worker Lakeside United Methodist Church - 4.5 Lake Worth, FL Job Details Part-time $18 an hour 8 hours ago Qualifications Removing debris English Minor facility damage repair Room tidying Restroom cleaning Routine maintenance projects Full Job Description Lakeside United Methodist Church is seeking a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team as a Custodian / Maintenance Assistant. This position is responsible for helping keep our church campus clean, safe, welcoming, and well maintained for our congregation, ministries, guests, and community. Approximately 20 regular ours per week at $18/hr with additional hours up to 30 during special events or maintenance projects.

Responsibilities include:

Routine cleaning of church facilities, including restrooms, offices, classrooms, Fellowship Hall, sanctuary, and common areas Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal Setting up and breaking down tables and chairs for church activities and events Monitoring cleaning and facility supplies Performing minor maintenance and basic repairs Identifying maintenance or safety concerns and reporting larger repair needs Helping ensure the property is ready and welcoming for Sunday worship, meetings, rentals, and special events Assisting with other general property-care needs as appropriate We're looking for someone who is: Dependable and trustworthy Self-motivated and able to work independently Organized and attentive to detail Comfortable performing physical tasks associated with cleaning and light maintenance Respectful of a church environment and the people we serve Willing to take pride in caring for our church home Prior custodial, maintenance, or property-care experience is required.
