Job Description

Qualifications and Skills:
Previous maintenance, construction, facilities, hotel engineering, or mechanical experience preferred. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance. Ability to safely use common hand and power tools. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to follow instructions and work independently when assigned tasks. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests and respond appropriately to urgent issues. Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team. Ability to work around guests and employees in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and stand or walk for extended periods. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments and in varying temperatures. Must be willing to learn hotel equipment, systems, procedures, and preventative maintenance requirements.
Reporting Structure:
The Assistant Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Chief Engineer and works closely with hotel management and other departments to maintain the property and provide a safe, comfortable environment for guests and employees.
Position Objective:
The primary objective of this position is to support the Chief Engineer in keeping the hotel's building, equipment, guest rooms, and public areas in safe and reliable operating condition while providing timely, professional, and courteous maintenance service.
