Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Sanitation Maintenance Worker to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of our facilities. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks across multiple areas, including floors, restrooms, kitchens, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle chemical agents safely by following established chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination. Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting and moving supplies or equipment in accordance with safe lifting practices. Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces to ensure sanitation standards are met consistently. Operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and other custodial equipment efficiently to maintain floor care quality. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent injuries or hazards within the facility. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks when needed, including minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention. Requirements Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred, especially with commercial or industrial cleaning environments. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation (including floor buffers), and sanitation procedures is essential. Ability to handle chemical agents safely by understanding chemical handling safety procedures. Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, prolonged standing, walking, and climbing ladders if necessary. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when required.
