Cleans and maintains tools, equipment and assigned vehicles.
Operation of deep cleaning machinery including buffers, scrubbers and waxing as needed.
May perform basic carpentry work such as tightening screws, replacing carpet tiles, etc.
May assist with the set up and movement of furniture and recreational equipment.
Reports any safety hazards or maintenance problems to the Crew Supervisor.
May be called in as needed to perform emergency services including protection of property, repair of public facilities and removal of debris.
Performs custodial activities in various City buildings and parks such as cleaning bathrooms (toilets, sinks, wiping mirrors, replacing hand soap, replacing toilet paper, replacing towels), washing windows, emptying trash cans, sweeping/vacuuming/mopping floors, dusting off furniture, and emptying recycle bins.
Performs all other related duties as assigned or needed.
Computer knowledge and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications preferred.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (10-100 lbs.) and bend, squat, twist, crawl, and climb on a daily basis. Ability to work in a variety of extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time. Must be able to perform work while being exposed to dust, pollen, allergens, exhaust fumes, herbicide chemicals, etc. Must be available for emergency call-in on weekends, evenings, and holidays.

7:00am 3:30pm weekdays; Seasonal Summer hours, 6:30am - 3:00pm; some weekends, evenings, holidays, and emergency call-ins.Starting Salary:
$19.58 23.85 per hourPurpose of Work:
Provides general support for the maintenance, cleanliness, and safe operation of public facilities and spaces. Contributes to day-to-day upkeep by handling a variety of routine tasks, assisting with minor repairs, and supporting team operations. Helps ensure environments remain functional and presentable, responds to issues as they arise, and assists during urgent situations to protect property and maintain services.Major Responsibilities:
Electrical Work includes: changes light bulbs, ballasts, tombstone and fluorescent fixtures, breakers, switches and outlets as needed.Cleans and maintains tools, equipment and assigned vehicles.

Minimum Qualifications & Physical Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational or technical school training preferred. Valid State of Georgia driver's license (Class C) with a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR).Substantial work experience in performing comparable duties with similar equipment and tools.Computer knowledge and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications preferred.
