Maintenance Assistant Arlington Senior Living About Arlington Senior Living:
Arlington Senior Living is a warm and welcoming senior living community in Macon, GA, dedicated to providing a safe, comfortable, and beautiful environment for our residents. Our team takes great pride in maintaining a facility that our residents are proud to call home.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to support the day-to-day upkeep and operations of our community. As a Maintenance Assistant at Arlington Senior Living, you will work alongside the Maintenance Director to ensure our facility remains safe, well-maintained, and comfortable for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep throughout the facility Perform general repairs including painting, patching, plumbing, and carpentry Respond promptly to maintenance work orders submitted by residents and staff Assist with HVAC filter changes, lighting replacements, and minor electrical tasks Help maintain the exterior grounds, parking areas, and common spaces Support move-in and move-out unit turnovers (painting, cleaning, minor repairs) Assist with setup and breakdown for facility events and activities Perform safety checks and assist with fire and life safety inspections Report maintenance concerns and equipment issues to the Maintenance Director Follow all safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and facility policies
Qualifications & Requirements:
Prior experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related trade
  • preferred Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs Ability to read and follow work orders and maintenance logs Strong work ethic with a positive, team-player attitude Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift Valid driver's license
  • preferred Experience in a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality setting
  • a plus Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
