Hotel Maintenance Technician Position Summary :
The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the overall functionality, cleanliness, and safety of the hotel's building systems and guest rooms. This includes performing regular inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting for electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general hotel facilities. The technician plays a critical role in providing excellent service to guests by ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment.
Key Responsibilities :
General Maintenance :
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and lighting. Conduct repairs or replacements of faulty equipment, plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, electrical systems, and appliances. Maintain and repair furniture, doors, windows, locks, and other hotel assets as required.
Guest Room Maintenance :
Ensure guest rooms are in excellent condition by conducting regular checks and addressing any maintenance issues (e.g., plumbing leaks, electrical malfunctions, etc.). Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and resolve issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
Team Collaboration :
Work with other hotel departments (housekeeping, front desk, management) to coordinate maintenance schedules and emergency repairs.
Inventory and Equipment :
Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that materials are used efficiently. Order parts and supplies as needed, maintaining a sufficient stock for routine repairs.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in hotel maintenance, general maintenance, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and basic carpentry. Ability to work independently, troubleshoot problems, and perform repairs. Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when required. Ability to use hand tools and power equipment as needed.
Working Conditions :
Indoor and outdoor work environment. Exposure to cleaning chemicals and maintenance equipment. On-call availability for emergency maintenance issues.
Pay:
$13.00 - $15.00 per hour
