Job Description

QC Plastics is seeking a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys a job with variety. If you are the "handy" person that everyone calls when something needs to be fixed, we want to talk to you! Even if you haven't worked in a maintenance position before or haven't had formal training/certifications, you might be just the team member that we are looking for. If you understand how machines work and have a good work ethic, we will train you to do the rest. Job Summary As a full-time Maintenance Assistant/Production Operator, your main tasks will be performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and making necessary repairs on production machines, miscellaneous equipment, and plant facilities. The remainder of your time will be spent setting up and running CNC mills, lathes, routers, and thermoforming equipment to make custom plastic parts. Requirements Applicants must be mechanically inclined, possess problem solving skills, be able to work independently, be organized, and be dependable. The position requires working with technical support on the phone, so clear communication is necessary. While certification in a mechanical or electrical field is appreciated, it is not required. Carpentry skills are a plus. A willingness to learn new things and the ability to communicate respectfully with all team members is essential.
