Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a General Laborer specializing in asphalt projects! This energetic role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of paving and road construction, working with heavy equipment and skilled crews to transform infrastructure. You'll play a vital part in ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Duties Assist with asphalt paving operations, including spreading, leveling, and compaction to ensure smooth surfaces. Operate heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and front loader trucks to move materials and prepare sites. Support construction crews by preparing work areas, loading materials, and maintaining equipment. Conduct utility locating to identify underground utilities before excavation or paving begins. Maintain safety protocols on-site by following procedures and wearing appropriate protective gear. Perform general site cleanup and organize tools and materials to keep the work area safe and efficient. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while adhering to quality standards. Experience Prior experience working on construction sites, especially in asphalt or road paving projects. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and dump trucks. Knowledge of construction safety practices and utility locating techniques. Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy machinery is highly desirable. Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively within a team environment. Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions. Basic understanding of paving processes and construction site protocols.
